Save a life buy supporting these mobile blood drives
Your blood can save up to three lives.
Due to the continued high demand for blood, the South African National Blood Service (SANBS) urges the public to support mobile blood drives.
Community members are encouraged to roll up their sleeves at the following blood drives:
March 25
Healthworx, from 09:00 to 14:00
March 29
• Boksburg North CPF Sector Three blood drive at The Local Choice Pharmacy Oak Avenue in Witfield, from 09:00 to 14:00
• The Garrison Driving Range. from 10:00 to16:00
March 31
• Spar Rietfontein, from 11:00 to 16:00
• Kingfisher Square, from 11:00 to 16:00
Residents may also donate blood at the SANBS donor centre at the East Rand Mall from 10:00 to 18:00 on weekdays and from 09:00 to 15:00 on weekends and public holidays.
Donors must meet the minimum criteria for donating blood, which are as follows:
• Weigh at least 50kg.
• Be between the ages of 16 and 65.
• Be in good health.
• Lead a sexually safe lifestyle.
• Consider your blood safe for transfusion.
• You may only donate every 56 days.
