SPCA still in dire need of dog food

The Boksburg SPCA is still battling to keep its dog food container stocked and is appealing for the community’s assistance.

Despite repeated appeals, Boksburg SPCA manager Vicky Finnemore says the society is still desperately short of both dry and tinned dog food.

“We’re managing with cat food for now, but we are truly in desperate need when it comes to dog food. We don’t know why, but we’re struggling to keep up this year,” she said.

Every donation counts. “Please remember, whether it’s one bag or ten, small or large, every single contribution helps us feed a hungry dog. They depend on us and we’re depending on the community,” she added.

How you can support the society
Drop off: Bring your donation of wet food directly to the SPCA reception.

Online deliveries: Order via Takealot, Makro, Checkers Sixty60, PnP ASAP, or SPAR and have it delivered to their premises.

Corporate support: Ask your employer to donate a bag or two.
