‘Bennie’ steals the show in June

The photographer who captured the winning image for the month has been a member of Boksburg Camera Club for 15 years.

IMAGE OF THE MONTH: Nico Grobbelaar (Bennie).

Nico Grobbelaar has been a member of Boksburg Camera Club for 15 years.

How long have you been a member of the club? 15 years.
Skill level? 5 Star Masters.
Where was the image taken? My Studio.
What inspired the image? I have worked with homeless people for a couple of years and this was about the fourth time that Bennie visited me in studio for a photoshoot.
Camera settings? Taken with studio lights,1/250, f10, ISO 100.
Why do you enjoy being a member of the club? I see the club as a learning curve. The most I know about photography I learned from judges judging photos at club evenings.
What you enjoy the most about photography and why? To download my photos after a trip to the Kruger or elsewhere, to show my photos to family and friends and to compete at different levels with a variety of photographers.
