The Ramaphosa Sports Grounds recently came alive with the sounds of cheering crowds, vibrant music and the unmistakable energy of young people filled with hope.
What began as a local community gathering quickly turned into a day of inspiration, sport and life-changing moments for the youth of Ramaphosa.
From soccer showdowns to netball nail-biters, the event brought together young talent, passionate volunteers and a shared vision: to uplift and encourage the next generation.

Organised by the Ray of Hope Foundation (ROHF), with the support of various partners, the day proved that when a community unites, real transformation happens.
“It was all about bringing hope to the youth. We wanted them to know their lives matter, that they have purpose, and that their dreams are valid,” said Sandra Allies from ROHF.
Soccer stars shine bright
The soccer tournament featured four spirited teams: Amakipkip, Fire by Force, Limpopo Young and Corner House. After a series of exciting matches, Amakipkip emerged as champions. The team received a full soccer kit, medals, R3 000 in cash and a well-deserved celebratory lunch.

The runners-up also walked away with a soccer ball, medals, participation gifts sponsored by FNB volunteers, R1 000 in cash and lunch.
Netball talent on display
The netball matches showcased local talent, with players from different sections in Kanana, including Jerusalem and Ramaphosa, taking part. The first-place team received a new netball kit, a soccer ball, medals and R600 in cash. The second-place winners were awarded a soccer ball, medals, R300 in cash and participation gifts in recognition of their efforts.
Behind every great match are dedicated referees, and this event was no exception. To show appreciation for their crucial role, each soccer referee received R400 in cash.
The atmosphere was electric as the teams were ushered in by a lively drum majorette squad and marching band, setting the tone for a day filled with excitement and unity.

Furthermore, ROHF hosted a heartfelt ministry service that deeply touched the lives of many young people. Through preaching and testimony, the message of hope was shared powerfully.
Allies extended her gratitude to all those who helped make the day possible. Special appreciation was given to DRD Gold, Graphite Security and the enthusiastic volunteers from FNB, whose contributions played a vital role in the event’s success.
