Help her give pre-loved toys a second chance

Collections of donations of toys can be arranged.

Armed with ribbons in every hue and a little bit of magic, East Rand Palliative Care’s (ERPC) Carol Simoni is tinkering in her workshop, already breathing new life into toys.

The magical annual ERPC (formerly Hospice East Rand) Toy Fair is only four months away, and creative Carol needs donations to make this year’s event another resounding success.

Already in its eighth year, the toy fair not only aims to raise much-needed funds for the home-based palliative care organisation but also to ensure that every boy and girl can look forward to receiving something special during the festive season.

From teddies, dolls, cars, and playsets, Carol takes her time to restore donated items, bringing joy to a new generation of children.

These good-as-new toys will go on sale on November 8, from 09:00 to 12:00. It gives moms, dads, aunties, and uncles the opportunity to give the gift of imagination to their family’s little ones.

Donations can be delivered to 218 Kemston Avenue, Western Extension, or to arrange collection, call Hospice East Rand on 011 422 1531/2.
