#CaxtonCares: Pad a girl’s future this Women’s Month
Donate a pack of sanitary pads at the Pick n Pay Towers and empower a girl.
This Women’s Month (August), The Boksburg Advertiser, Caxton Local Media East Rand and the Pick n Pay Towers are stepping up to fight period poverty, one sanitary pad at a time.
According to Breadline Africa, more than a third of SA girls miss an estimated 20% of their academic year due to a lack of access to basic menstrual products like sanitary pads.
To help address this issue, donations of sanitary pads can be dropped off at the Pick n Pay Towers.
Community support is warmly welcomed and greatly appreciated. Help Caxton Local Media empower our future queens by donating a packet of sanitary pads.

All donated products will be distributed by our publication to selected local schools to make a meaningful and empowering event for the learners.
Pick n Pay Towers owner Antoni Rangousis said the store will contribute R10 000 towards the initiative.
“I believe this is an incredible project that will assist many young women. I know many girls have to stay home and miss school due to a lack of access to sanitary products,” said Rangousis.
