#CaxtonCares: Join Boksburg Advertiser in the fight against period poverty this Women’s Month

Donate sanitary pads at Towers Pick n Pay this August.

Boksburg Advertiser offers the public a chance to be part of a vital initiative to combat period poverty among young girls in the community this Women’s Month.

The initiative, supported by Towers Pick n Pay, invites the community to donate packets of sanitary pads.

Donations can be dropped off at Pick n Pay Towers until August 31.

With many girls in South Africa missing up to 20% of their school year due to a lack of access to sanitary products, this campaign aims to ensure that no learner is left behind simply because of her period.

Owner of Towers Pick n Pay Towers, Antoni Rangousis, has demonstrated strong support by contributing R10 000 to the cause, emphasising the importance of helping young women stay in school and succeed.

Boksburg Advertiser will oversee the distribution of donated products to local schools, making this campaign not just a donation drive, but a direct support system for learners in need.

Anyone wishing to support this important cause is encouraged to donate before the end of the month. With community support, this initiative promises to bring hope and empowerment to many young girls, ensuring they can focus on their dreams and education without interruption.
