A Jansen Park house was left in ruins after a fire on August 17.

Authorities are investigating a fire that destroyed a seven-room house in Moore Street, Jansen Park, on August 17, leaving tenants without most of their belongings.

The blaze, reported at around 10:00, quickly engulfed the property, with some witnesses even hearing explosions as flames spread.

Eric Maloka, spokesperson for DEMS, confirmed that a Fidelity ADT fire response was already on the scene and managed to bring the fire under control.
