Birchwood Spur fundraising dinner to support Urban Ruins community projects
Join The Urban Ruins at Birchwood Spur on October 1 from 17:30 for a fundraising dinner.

Urban Ruins is calling on the public to support its fundraising dinner in partnership with Birchwood Spur on October 1.
The event, which will start at 17:30, will allow guests to share a meal with family or friends while supporting a worthy cause at no extra cost, as a portion of each bill will be donated to the organisation.
The fundraiser aims to recover R7 000 recently spent on repairs to the organisation’s bakkie, a vehicle vital to its daily operations.
The bakkie is used to collect food donations, distribute food parcels, transport supplies for the organisation’s ECD centre, and support community projects.
To add excitement to the evening, there will also be giveaways, raffles, and merchandise sales, giving attendees more ways to contribute to the cause.
According to Clayton Viljoen, CEO of the organisation, the organisation supports more than 3 000 people each week through feeding schemes, education programmes, and social development projects.
“The unexpected repair costs have placed a significant strain on our operational budget, and this fundraiser is about recovering those costs while making sure we can continue to serve the families who need us most.”
Community members and businesses can get involved by:
• Booking a table for dinner.
• Donating prizes for the raffle and giveaways.
• Sponsoring the event to strengthen its impact.
For bookings and more information, contact Clayton at 081 747 0833 or cviljoen@urbanruins.co.za
