Calling parents: Share your child’s Grade One milestone
As the 2026 academic year begins on January 14, The Boksburg Advertiser invites parents to share photos of their proud Grade One learners on their very first day of school.
Will your child be one of the thousands of Grade One learners who will step into the ‘big school’ as the 2026 academic year kicks off on January 14?
The Boksburg Advertiser wants to share this milestone moment with our readers.

Parents are invited to send a photo of their little one’s first day to us by no later than 12:00 on January 16. Email taylas@caxton.co.za using “Grade One” in the subject line.
Please note that photos must be sent as attachments in JPEG format and include your child’s full name, age, school, and what they look forward to learning in primary school.
Be sure to include the parent/caregiver’s full name and contact number, too.

For privacy protection reasons, ensure that submitted photos do not feature faces of other children in the background or anyone you did not gain permission to photograph.
