Power update: Restoration efforts continue in parts of Boksburg

The city apologises for the inconvenience caused.

City technicians are continuing work to repair a faulty cable that left large parts of Boksburg without electricity over the weekend.

Power has gradually been restored to most of the affected areas, including large parts of Lillianton, Witfield, Boksburg North and Plantation. However, residents in parts of Morganridge and Dayanglen may only have their electricity restored later this evening.

“All efforts are being made to restore power to the affected areas as soon as possible, and the city apologises for the inconvenience caused,” said metro spokesperson Zweli Dlamini.
