Sew … this is how you can help Boksburg SPCA

A stronger sewing machine will enable them to continue repairing damaged jerseys and blankets.

Boksburg SPCA is gearing up for winter, and to ensure animals in their care stay protected from the cold, they are provided with jerseys and blankets.

Donations of these items are always welcome, and the SPCA also mends the jerseys and blankets as needed.

Unfortunately the SPCA has hit a snag in this respect – their sewing machine has given up the ghost.

The team is now appealing for a donation of an industrial sewing machine (new, secondhand in good condition).

“Our current machine proved not to be strong enough for the constant repairs we do,” explained the society’s secretary, Sue Beadon.

A stronger sewing machine will enable them to continue repairing damaged jerseys and blankets to keep the animals warm and comfortable while they wait for their forever homes.

Donations to the SPCA qualify for a S18A tax certificate.

If you can help, email secretary@boksburgspca.co.za or contact them on 067 409 4267/083 763 6311 or visit their premises in Railway Street.
