Book a date with Protea’s latest hilarious stage production

There is an afternoon and an evening show on June 27.

Lovers of theatre should pile into the Benoryn Family Church next month for Protea Stage Productions’ laugh-a-minute Arabian Date Nights.

Written and directed by cast member Donovan Margoczi, this comedic quest sees Aladdin and the Genie on a mission to find Aladdin a suitable princess. They find her, but she’s not quite what they expected.

There are two productions on June 27 – afternoon and evening.

Protea chairperson Lynsay Jonker describes Arabian Date Nights as a pantomimic play that challenges the Disney tropes.

“It’s bound to have everyone rolling on the floor with laughter,” she said.
