Khloe Mavimbela (5), aspiring air hostess: When I grow up, I want to be an air hostess because I like their uniform. An air hostess serves people snacks and food on the aeroplane. I think I will get paid 300 dollars because it is a very hard job.

Learners at Rebone Day Care and Pre-School shared their career aspirations during a Career Day on September 4, revealing throught dress-up the paths they hope to follow when they grow up and why.

Boiteko Mokoena(2), aspiring lawyer:
I want to go to court to catch thiefs. I’m going to get paid R20 and no, I don’t think the job is hard.

Khanya Faduco (4), future master chef: I want to be a chef. A chef cooks eggs and I think I will get paid $1 000. It is a hard job because it is important that people eat good food.

Jody Duma (5), at ease soldier: I want to be a soldier because soldiers walk when the leader says walk. I think they get paid R200 000 because it is hard being in the army.

Busani Monana (5), teacher in the house: I want to be a teacher and teach children how to read and write. Being a teacher is not that difficult so I will only get paid R15 000.

Umenathi Yende (4), say aah for the doctor: I want to help other people when they are sick. Giving sick people medicine is not that hard, so they can pay me R54.
