People considering retirement living or care options for themselves or a loved one are invited to explore Rand Aid’s villages and care centres during an open day on October 17.

The Rand Aid Association is an NPO that offers accommodation in a variety of independent-living retirement villages and frail care centres.

The open day starts at Inyoni Creek, 200 Modderfontein Road, Edenvale, with registration from 09:00 and a welcome and orientation at 09:30.

Tours of Rand Aid’s retirement villages and care centres depart from 10:30.

Visitors can choose which of the six Rand Aid properties they would like to explore: Inyoni Creek, Elphin Lodge, Thornhill Manor, Tarentaal, Ron Smith Care Centre or Thembalami Care Centre.

Tours will offer an opportunity to see accommodation and communal spaces, learn more about the lifestyle and care options, and speak to residents and staff. The coffee shops at the properties will also be open.
