St Dom’s Polar Plunge postponed

The new date for the Polar Plunge is yet to be confirmed.

The St Dominic’s Catholic School for Girl’s Polar Plunge has been postponed till further notice.

Learners and staff were supposed to plunge into the icy water and swim across the 25m length of the school swimming pool on July 14 but had to be postponed because it’s colder than anticipated.

Funds raised during the Polar Plunge will go towards the school’s adopted bears at the Johannesburg Zoo, Tamu and Valentine.

These are spectacled bears. They have pale markings around their eyes, resembling spectacles, hence their name.
