“This last week learners went over their preliminary examination scripts and educators focused on the areas that proved to be problematic to ensure that they go into the finals confidently,” she added.
Walljee explained the academic preparations with the matrics started in Grade 11 already.
“After the 2022 November examinations, our Grade 11 learners returned to school to start covering the Grade 12 syllabus. Throughout this year, Saturday classes and weekday intervention classes were held to allow learners to master all concepts.
“Once the finals have started, selected learners will be brought in on days they are not writing to prepare for other upcoming exams. Together the schools have 360 full-time candidates registered for exams.”
Head girl of Sunward Park High Performance School Nyasha Chivaviro said she is leaving no stone unturned in her quest for success.
“I have been using past papers as a guiding compass, unravelling the patterns and trends to better understand the exam format. Each question serves as a stepping stone towards mastery, allowing me to fine-tune my knowledge and approach. I have been making notes and summaries that serve as my study guides. I feel a mix of nerves and excitement. These exams are the culmination of my high school journey and I am confident in my abilities.”
