In light of the petrol price that recently went up, the Advertiser asked a few locals how they are coping with ever-growing price hikes.

Nicole Williams: “I'm now going to plan ahead and see if I can't maybe go to two places in one trip to save money.”

Johannes Mahlangu: “The inflation is making life very difficult and I will be spending less money on luxuries.”

Nadia Otto: “As a business owner the petrol increase is affecting everything I purchase for my shop. I'm going to spend less money on luxuries now.”

Magda Hattingh: “I'm trying to save by driving less and spending less money on food because everything is getting so expensive.”

Tommy Deacon: “I'm just going to spend more time at home because of the petrol that is getting so expensive.”
