#Covid-19FourthWave: Tell us what’s on your mind

South Africa is being hit by the fourth wave of Covid-19, which is driven by the highly contagious Omicron variant.

With the new variant circulating across the country, the Advertiser asked its readers if they considered cancelling or postponing their summer plans, including their summer vacations and social gatherings.

Armand Groenewald: I didn’t have to cancel anything at all. I just had to let work know that I was in contact with somebody who tested positive for Covid-19.

Simoné van der Nest: No, I stil have to work this festive season. However, I’m planning to visit my family on Christmas Day.

William Macheke: I’m grateful that I didn’t have to cancel any of my plans. I am, however, more careful and adhere to all Covid-19 protocols.

Solly Magaguala: I’m not cancelling any of my plans. I’m not that concerned about the fourth wave. People must just adhere to all the regulations.

Emmanuel Jani: I’m thankful that I didn’t have to cancel any plans, and I’m still working this festive season.
