Drift Champs roars to life this weekend at The Rock
Round two of the Cambees Midas SA Drift Championships gets underway at the renowned Rock Raceway circuit on Saturday, March 7.
The sideways drift masters will take up the gauntlet laid down by the judges, as they try to impress the officials with their style, flair and sideways driving, without losing the drift.
Local drifters from around the country, as well as drivers from neighbouring Mozambique, are expected to head for the circuit for the second leg of the championships.
Petrol heads and adrenaline junkies are urged to bring along their banners, as well as friends and family, to witness tire-burning in style.
Sunday will see the latest show of Extreme Street 2 Strip drag races from 4pm – gates open at 2pm.
The sound-off Fans Logo 2 Loud competition will also be heard as drivers test their beat boxes against various chariots.
So, if you think you have what it takes to record the highest decibel readings, bring along your daily drive and enter the competition.
