Webb Ellis Trophy returns to South Africa
The William Webb Ellis Trophy will make its return to South Africa as part of its 18-nation journey, ending with a trip to host nation Japan for this year’s World Cup which kicks off in September.
World Rugby is bringing the prestigious cup to our shores and Heineken, the official sponsor of this year’s tournament, will get first dibs when it lands in Cape Town.
On Tuesday, February 19, the beer company will host an exclusive viewing of the trophy at its captain’s dinner, which will be held at the Nooitgedacht Estates in Stellenbosch.
