Covid-19: EKF chairperson warns against throwing caution to the wind

Ekurhuleni Karate Federation (EKF) chairperson Takis Chaniotakos has urged karate clubs around the City of Ekurhuleni to not think that Covid-19 has been defeated following President Cyril Ramaphosa’s announcement about easing lockdown regulations to level one.
Chaniotakos has also emphasised the need for every club to ensure that every one of its athletes continue to comply to Covid-19 safety regulations.
“All karate clubs in the Ekurhuleni region must follow strict Covid-19 regulations even though the country has come down to lockdown one,” he said.
“Let’s not take our fingers off the pulse and always remain vigilant and safe. I encourage all senior instructors of their respective club to ensure safety first for all their members and their fellow senior instructors.

“All clubs affiliated to Ekurhuleni Karate Federation are fully Covid-19 compliant and with their doors open today and in full throttle with training, they welcome anybody that wishes to learn karate.”

“For the best interest and safety at heart, our athletes as well as all karatekas out there come first. Leave nothing to chance. Continue to wear your mask, practise social distancing even at training, sanitise as it not only for just for you but for your fellow karateka/family and friends next to you,” stressed Chaniotakos.

EKF have affiliated clubs in Benoni, Boksburg, Edenvale, Bedfordview and Modderfontein.
