Forbes helps Hadleigh to reach the quarter-finals

Forbes and co. off to winning start.

Former Boksburg Cricket Club captain Adam Forbes helped his new side Hadleigh & Thundersley Cricket Club qualify for the quarter-finals of the Dukes Essex League Cup over the first weekend of May.

The all-rounder scored 85 runs off 90 deliveries before taking a wicket at the death as Hadleigh moved on at the expense of Horndon.

It was Forbes’ second cap for Hadleigh including his debut in a friendly clash, which preceded the cup encounter. This was all ahead of the beginning of the Hamro Foundation Essex League, which got underway this past weekend (May 8-9).

Forbes, who captained Boksburg for three years, joined the UK-based club in March.
