Public invited to join a free boot camp
Nyaniso Mbikwana decided to begin the boot camp training because there’s more motivation to train as a group as opposed to training alone.
Do you want to get fit?
Then you should join personal trainer Nyaniso Mbikwana’s free boot camp on Saturdays at Laerskool Concordia from 07:00 to 08:00.
Mbikwana said attendees are going to do strength, functional fitness and high-intensity interval training among other things.
Any member of the public of any level of fitness and age is welcome to join the camp.
Mbikwana explained he decided to begin the boot camp training because there’s more motivation to train as a group as opposed to training alone.
The Advertiser previously reported Mbikwana has been running the boot camp since the beginning of February.
“The article brought a lot of numbers. I received daily calls for almost two weeks. So I decided to give back an hour’s workout a week to the community.
“During winter, we had to do the classes online via Zoom, and I have about 25 people. Now that we’re back, I believe we can get more people involved,” he explained.
Mbikwana also has a boot camp on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at the school from 18:00 to 19:00 at a fee.
Charel Blignaut, principal of Laerskool Concordia, said the school is grateful that somebody is using the school’s premises to give people the opportunity to exercise.
“This is especially now that people don’t always feel safe to play in parks or go for a jog,” said Blignaut.
