Benoni Indians starlets off to world cup
South Africa will begin their campaign against Panama on July 29.
Benoni Indians’ Joshua Cook and Tatum White will form part of the South African National U12 team to compete at the sixth World Baseball and Softball Confederation Baseball World Cup in Taiwan from July 28 to August 7.
The duo will be part of the 18-man travelling squad to compete at the showpiece at the Tainan Asia-Pacific International Baseball Stadium.
Logan Gardener and Keagan Merifield, also from the Indians, are part of the non-travelling team.
Coach Clifford White will be part of the national team’s management as one of the two assistant coaches.
The management team will be led by Ian Griebenow as the head coach with Jono Viljoen and White as his assistants and Duwane Peters as head of delegation.
