The contingent of enthusiastic athletes returned from Foligno on September 15 not only boasting of a medal tally of 20 but for bringing home four championship titles.
“It was once again an enthralling experience for our entire team to be able to participate at such a high level,” said sensei Tarryn Madgwick.
“Our athletes worked extremely hard, they put in hours of hard work and the results speak for themselves.”
Championship winners in their respective categories included Sensei Marius Madgwick taking gold for veterans kata, followed by Sethu Sibiya and Roxy Postma claiming gold for team kumite.
Riley Madgwick, Natalia Killian and Niara-ze Magoo won gold for team kata.
“We have learned a great deal from this tournament and look forward to sharing this newfound knowledge with our students,” said Tarryn.
