Comrades medals galore for Qhubeka
Four athletes got silver medals from the Qhubeka Athletic Club.
Qubheka Athletic Club bagged four silver, 19 bronze, six Bill Rowan, five Robert Matshali and 14 Vic Clapham medals at the Comrades Marathon on June 11.
The silver medalists from the club are Seboni Rabaloi (07:18: 12), Hulikani Nyathi (07:21:32), Ronald Shibiri (07:28: 20) and Reuben Moraba (07:28:56).
“It’s a good milestone for me because I have competed in Comrades for nine years already. Next year I aim to get my green number.
“Next is the Dublin Marathon in Ireland,” said Nyathi.
“Comrades was tough this year, but I ran it comfortably because of the time I put in preparing for the it.
“I have been an athlete for 11 years but only joined Qhubeka two years ago. I have enjoyed being part of the club,” he said.
