BAC runners take part in their first race after comrades

The runners were excited to run in the 21km race.

Thirteen Boksburg Athletic Club (BAC) runners displayed remarkable running performances in the 21km Old Eds Road Race on August 13.

Among the runners, Rieghardt Rautenbach pulled-out an astonishing performance to finish the race in a time of 01:26:48, followed by a novice runner Marichelle Rautenbach in a time of 1:59:00.

The other runners ran the following times: Collen Rautenbach (01:59:01), Quinton Ferreira (02:02:16), Timothy Lee (02:05:05), Yolande Alberts (02:10:19), Ismail Abdull (02:12:14), Deirdre Ferreira (02:23:26), Nadia Erasmus (02;23:28), Liezel Naude (02:29:58) and Hilton Hosmer (51:26:00).

BAC athletes: Mohammed Abdull, Bertus Nienaber, Marichelle Rautenbach and Rieghardt Rautenbach.

The Boksburg Athletic Club secretary, Caronn Harris, said the BAC runners have been competing in the race since its inception.

“The race its part of their Vitality Series, so they receive points for each race they participate in,” said Harris.
She added that the runners will be tackling the Wanderers road race on August 27.
