Alberton Squash Club hosts championships
Local squash club held its three-week competition and finally concluded its final round. Deserving members were honoured after the finals.
The Alberton Squash Club hosted their annual club championship finals on November 25.
The competition began on November 9.
Giorgia Dates won the ladies’ title this year, while Alessia Luis took home the silver. Third place went to Celeste Nieuwenhuizen, who won bronze.
The men’s finalist from the previous year, Anton de Jager and Mark Capell faced one other.
In the end, Mark Capell won gold and Anton de Jager silver. Tony Moreira claimed the bronze.
The club held its year-end celebration and prize-giving following the championship game.
