ERK members fly SA flag high

The tournament began on October 15 and will conclude on October 20.

East Rand Kayaking (ERK) members Chris de Bree and Kyle Buchler are part of the seven-man national team currently representing the country at the ICF Canoe Polo World Championships in China.

The team comprises five players from Gauteng, Neil Burger (captain), Ruhan Marx and Kyle Hardy based at Emmarentia Dam, as well as De Bree and Buchler who are based at Homestead Dam. It also includes Luke Hoets from the Western Cape and Jamie Truby from the Eastern Cape.

“The team had their last training session at Emmarentia dam before departure and throughout South Africa, water-based sports athletes are rooting for the team and wishing them well,” said Gauteng Canoe Union (GCU) PRO Jennie Dallas.

The tournament began on October 15 and will conclude on October 20.
