Swimmers make club proud

It is with great pride that the Boksburg Aquatic Saints Swimming and Lifesaving Club announces the results of its swimmers at the recent Eastern Gauteng Aquatics 70th Summer Championships, held at Delville Swimming Pool in Germiston.

With a plethora of medals, totalling four gold, nine silver, and nine bronze medals, and with every swimmer breaking their personal best times, it was nothing short of successful.

The club thanks Eastern Gauteng Aquatics for a well-run and successful gala.

As the head coach of Boksburg Aquatic Saints Swimming Club, Sibani Makhanya said he is thrilled to share how proud he is of the team’s achievements.

“The past season has been filled with dedication, perseverance, and exceptional progress.

“Our swimmers have shown tremendous growth, both individually and as a team. From personal bests to podium finishes, every swimmer has contributed to the club’s success. Their commitment to training, resilience during competitions, and sportsmanship have set a high standard. Well done to all of you for pushing your limits and striving for excellence,” said the coach.

Makhanya said a special acknowledgement goes to their assistant coach, Mark Stainton, whose unwavering support and technical expertise have been invaluable.

“Your guidance, motivation, and attention to detail have played a crucial role in our swimmers’ development. Thank you for your dedication and teamwork.

“To our incredible parents, thank you for your continued support, whether through early morning practices, cheering from the stands, or volunteering at events. Your encouragement creates a positive and supportive environment that helps our swimmers thrive.

“As we look toward future competitions and new challenges, I am confident that we will continue to grow and achieve great things together.

“Let’s keep up the hard work, determination and team spirit that define Boksburg Swimming Club.”
