Help get local club to Gothia Cup in Sweden

The ambitious club is gearing up for its second appearance at the Gothia Cup in Sweden in July.

Benoni outfit Total Game Mastery Football Club (TGMFC) is once again daring to dream big, and this time calling on the community to help turn that dream into reality.

The ambitious club is gearing up for its second appearance at the Gothia Cup in Sweden in July, ready to test itself against some of the best young talent from around the globe.

After making a memorable debut last year with a U13 squad, TGMFC returns stronger and more ambitious, with both U14 and U16 teams set to fly the flag for their club, their community and South Africa on one of football’s biggest youth stages.

“The Gothia Cup is more than just a tournament,” said founder and coach Shane Campbell.

“It’s a life-changing experience. The boys are exposed to different cultures, higher levels of football, and challenges that push them far beyond their comfort zones.”

But while the dream is alive, the road to Sweden comes with a price.

With many players set to travel abroad for the first time, financial constraints remain a significant hurdle.

Determined not to let talent go to waste, the club has launched fundraising efforts aimed at ensuring every selected player can make the trip.

“Our goal is simple: no player gets left behind. We want to give every child this opportunity, but we need the community’s support to make it happen.”

Backed by a committed coaching unit, including Jarryd Buckle, Dinal Solanke, Jordan Green, Zavier Kupersamy and Joline Byrd, the club has created an environment where young footballers are nurtured both on and off the pitch.

Now, they are appealing to local businesses, sponsors, and the broader community to invest in a journey that promises not just football exposure, but life-changing growth.

With months still to go, preparations are already in full swing. Training sessions are intense, team unity is strengthening, and belief is building.
