The club's senior and junior swimmers showcased their talent against the region's best swimmers, with Carissa Motha making her winter gala debut.
Daniel Bulhakov and Vicky Bulukova led the Swift Aquatics charge at the Easterns Aquatics Winter Champs gala, while Caden Nyambaza was the club’s top performer at the juniors’ winter championships.
Daniel Bulhakov dominated across several events. He took gold in both the 200m Individual Medley and 400m Individual Medley.
He followed with silver medals in the 200m freestyle, 400m freestyle, 100m butterfly, 50m and 200m backstroke. He also added a bronze medal in the 50m butterfly.

The club’s success continued at the junior winter champs, where a 10-member squad delivered a superb performance.
The junior team finished eighth overall, with the junior women placing eighth and the junior men ninth.
Caden Nyambaza took gold medals in the 50m backstroke, 200m backstroke and 200m freestyle. He also earned silver in the 50m freestyle, together with bronze medals in the 100m freestyle, 200m individual medley and 100m backstroke.
For debutant Carissa Motha, the competition was particularly special as it was her first winter champs gala. She announced herself in style, claiming a bronze medal in the 50m breaststroke.
Coach Mark Stainton said that while the medals were certainly a highlight, the Swift Aquatics swimmers’ achievements went far beyond the podium.
“The team recorded many personal-best times throughout the championships, demonstrating the continued development and hard work of the swimmers. I am proud of the results achieved – outstanding swimming. Quality always trumps quantity,” he said.
