Renowned guitarist to perform at Emperors Palace
Dan Patlansky will be performing with a full band at Emperors Palace Barnyard Theatre, on June 1.
With two worldwide number-one albums to his name, there is no argument that the South African blues rock guitarist is on his way to being one of the world’s best guitarists.
His last two albums, Dear Silence Thieves (2014) and Introvertigo (2016), were both voted the number one blues rock album in the world by Blues Rock Review USA, making him the first artist ever to receive this accolade twice.
Patlansky was also voted male artist of the year 2015 by Blues and Soul Magazine, number four of 10 best rock guitarists in the world by Total Guitar Magazine in December 2015 and one of the top 20 blues rock artists by Blues Magazine.
In February 2016 he received a nomination for best international solo artist for the Planet Rock Radio ‘Rocks’ Awards.
He was also nominated and rated number two in the category of Top 5 Overseas Artist of the Year in the British Blues Awards in September 2016.
Introvertigo, Patlansky’s latest album, is his eighth studio album, produced by South African producer Theo Crous.
He wrote the album over the course of two years, using his life experiences as inspiration to marry good songs with great guitar playing.
Patlansky was the special guest on Joe Satriani’s UK Shockwave Tour, including 25 shows in 10 countries, in November 2015.
He also performed as the special guest on award-winning blues rock band King King’s tour in May and June 2016, performing a total of 26 shows in the Netherlands, Germany and the UK.
He is currently touring Europe and the UK for the promotion of Introvertigo.
