Matthew Caldwell from the Boksburg Aquatic Saints Swimming and Lifesaving Club obtained a first place at the Open Water Nationals in Port Elizabeth (Gqeberha) recently.
Caldwell competed in the u-15/16 boys’ category and completed the 3km swim in a time of 35:14. He was also the overall winner in the 3km open-water swim.
