Boksburg community unites to cheer on matric class of 2025 as final exams begin

As the 2025 matric exams begin today, locals are sending messages of encouragement to Grade 12 learners, wishing them success as they write their first papers.

As the matric class of 2025 embarks on the journey of their National Senior Certificate final exams today, local parents and the teaching staff wish the candidates the best of luck.

One of the teachers at Sunward Park High, Rebekah Holmes, said: “I’m immensely proud of the learners’ perseverance and determination. I am wishing all the Grade 12s calmness and clarity. You have worked so hard, and the effort you’ve put in throughout the year will pull you through these exams and into your bright futures.”

Thandi Mokoena, whose child wrote her first paper on computer applications technology at Boksburg High School, said: “We are so proud of our children. This is their time to shine. We are behind them every step of the way, and praying for strength, focus, and success.”

Resident David Nkuna urged learners to believe in themselves and make their families and neighbourhoods proud.
“Education opens doors. Every paper written brings you closer to your dreams. Stay disciplined and remember that your community is rooting for you.”
Officials who spoke to the Boksburg Advertiser reminded learners to arrive early at exam venues, bring all required materials, and maintain honesty and integrity throughout the process.

Ruben Makgadikele and Tisetso Moeketsi of Sunward Park High said: “We are so proud of you. You’ve shown strength, courage, and perseverance. Walk into that exam room knowing your teachers, parents, and the entire community believe in you.”
Ayanda Mokoena, one of the teachers at Sunward Park High, said she wishes the learners a fruitful and successful exam period.
Mike Phahla and Simelane Nomhle said: “Remember to breathe, stay positive, and take care of yourselves. Confidence and balance are just as important as hard work. You’ve got this”

Several schools held short assemblies and well-wishing sessions over the past week to motivate learners and remind them that their hard work and dedication throughout the year will carry them through.
Parents also acknowledged the late nights, early mornings and sacrifices made by learners when preparing for this moment.
