Three cases of theft out of motor vehicles were reported over the past weekend, while two cars were also reported stolen.

On Saturday, a Ford Bantam was stolen from the Mall @Carnival at approximately 10.45am.

Another vehicle was taken while a person attended a function at a house in Louis Leipoldt Street. The man parked his blue Volkswagen Golf outside the property and later realised that it had been stolen.

On Saturday, two motor vehicles were broken into.
The first incident took place in Jones Street, when thieves broke the right rear window of a car and made off with the radio and some clothing.

The other reported incident took place at the Heidelberg Road crossing, near Carnival City.
The complainant was parked at the traffic lights when somebody grabbed a leather jacket lying on the passenger seat. There was R1 079 cash in a pocket of the jacket.

On Monday, thieves broke into a car on the corner of Muir and Prince George avenues and stole a GPS and the radio.
