Poppy Day run

The Apex Military Base, in Dalview, hosted a family fun day on Sunday, last week, in honour of Poppy Day.

Hells Angels SA held a mass ride from Johannesburg, the West Rand and Witbank, to the base, where there was plenty of good food and music, as well as flea market stalls, a kiddies’ playground and military vehicles on display.

The event also included a wreath-laying ceremony.

Bikers Shorty 81 (left) and Neels Marais were among hundreds who participated in the mass ride in honour of Poppy Day. For more photos visit www.brakpanherald@caxton.co.za.
