Weekend crime round-up

According to information received, the following crimes were reported to Brakpan police over the weekend (July 25, 26 and 27):

Friday
Three burglaries were reported.

A bicycle and three television sets were stolen from homes along Bacher Avenue in Brakpan North, Blesbok Street in Leachville, and Naboom Crescent in Dalpark.

Saturday
A man selling livestock along Mouton Road, Withok Estates, was robbed by three men.

The man was loading the animals onto the back of his bakkie at about 4.30pm, when a white Honda Civic stopped alongside the road.

Three men alighted the car and pointed guns at the man.

He was forced to lie on the ground, while the robbers helped themselves to his cellphone, car keys, wallet and R25 000 in his vehicle.

Burglars stole a television set, groceries and beauty products from an address along Augrabies Avenue, Leachville.

Electronics and a bicycle were stolen from a home along Van Zyl Street, Brenthurst.

Sunday
A white Hyundai H100 was stolen from Voortrekker Road.

A laptop, cellphones, jewellery, cash and clothes were stolen during a break-in at an address along Germains Avenue.

Some of the items were later recovered by police.

Burglars stole television sets, a DVD player, a laptop, cellphones and other goods from homes along Pythian Street and Ellis Street, in Brakpan North.
