Weekend crime round-up

According to information received, the following crimes were reported to Brakpan police over the weekend (October 10, 11 and 12):

Friday
A blue Volkswagen Golf was stolen from Brodigan Avenue, Dalview.

A woman was robbed of her handbag while walking along Heidelberg Road at about 10.30am.

The bag, which contained the woman’s cellphone, was snatched by two men.

Tools were stolen from a residence along Wooten Avenue, Brakpan North.

Tyres and magwheels were also stolen from a car parked in the garage at this address.

A laptop and cellphone were stolen from a home along Northdene Avenue.

Saturday
Four burglaries were reported.

Television sets, computers, jewellery, cellphones, a video camera and other household items were stolen from homes along Northdene Avenue, Boundary Road, and Ganteus Avenue and Rossouw Crescent, Minnebron.

A pink and white Big Boy scooter was stolen from Elton Street, Minnebron.
Sunday

Three break-ins took place.
Homes along Ash Street, Minnebron, and Elizabeth Eybers Street and Rangeview Road, Dalpark, were burgled of television sets, computers and other electronic goods.

A man was robbed of two cellphones, R600 and his asylum seeker permit along Station Road.

The man, who lives in a flat along this street, was held at gunpoint while leaving the building at about 3pm.

Two men searched him, took his belongings, and then fled in a white Opel Corsa.
