
Friday
The driver of a white Isuzu truck was hijacked along Elsburg Road, near Helderwyk Estates, at about 10am.
The driver, who was en route to Alberton, was stationary at a set of traffic lights when a man in a Nissan Almera told him the truck was on fire.
The truck driver immediately pulled over and climbed out.
The Nissan Almera also pulled over and the man told the driver he had seen flames coming from the undercarriage of the truck.
While the driver was checking the truck, two other men appeared and grabbed him.
He was put in their car, the make and model of which is unknown, and driven away.
The truck driver was later set free in a veld, in Westonaria, on the West Rand.
A break-in was reported at Brakpan Primary School, which is situated along Stoffberg Avenue.
Access was gained through the roof of the building and a computer was stolen.
Four residential burglaries were reported.
These took place at addresses along at Gate Street, Brenthurst, Chevalier Street, Brakpan North, and Lawrence Road and Louis Leipoldt Street, Dalpark.
Television sets, groceries and electronic goods were stolen.
A break-in was reported at Brakpan Primary School, along Stoffberg Avenue.
Saturday
A white Ford Lazer was stolen from Mall@Carnival.
Three homes were broken into.
Laptops, jewellery, television sets and other household items were stolen from properties along Hastings Avenue, Lanyard Road, Dalpark, and Craven Street, Brakpan North.
Four men were arrested for burglary after they were caught on the premises of a company situated along Springs Road, Witpoort Estates.
They were found in a container on the property at about 9.49pm, attempting to steal mechanical devices and spares.
Two truck batteries were stolen from a business along Voortrekker Road.
Sunday
A games console, laptop, cellphones and three gas guns were stolen from a home along Witheide Avenue, Leachville.
