Suspected car thieves crash while trying to flee police
Brakpan Police arrested two men on Sunday, last week, after they crashed a suspected stolen car while trying to evade arrest.

According to Capt Joep Joubert, spokesperson for the Brakpan Police Station commander, the two men, aged 27 and 37 years old, crashed into a parked car at the Mall@Carnival.
“At about 4.50pm, a vehicle tracking helicopter was following a green Mazda 323, which was stolen earlier in Benoni,” said Joubert.
“The suspects in the suspected stolen vehicle were travelling in the parking area of Mall@Carnival, when they spotted the helicopter.
“They tried to flee and collided with a parked vehicle.”
Joubert added that the car was seized and the men would appear in court soon on a charge of being in possession of a suspected stolen vehicle.
