Weekend crime round-up

According to information received, the following crimes were reported to Brakpan police over the weekend (February 27 and 28, and March 1):

Friday

A gold Volkswagen Golf was stolen from Hayes Street, Brakpan North.

Two burglaries were reported.

Homes along Olga Street, Brenthurst, and Etosha Avenue, Dalpark, were burgled of various goods, including a television set and a cellphone.

A computer tablet was stolen from a child in Voortrekker Road, at about 3pm.

The boy, who was walking through town with his parents and brother, was playing on the device when a thief grabbed it from him.

Saturday

Three cars were stolen

A white Mazda Sting was stolen from the corner of Prince George Avenue and Queen Street; a white Nissan 1400 bakkie was stolen from Numbi Avenue, Leachville, and a black Renault Megane was stolen from the Mall@Carnival.

Wheels were stolen from a car parked at an address along Pythian Street, Brakpan North.

Burglars stole games consoles, cash, toiletries, cellphones and other household items from a home along Stoffberg Avenue.

Tools were stolen from a business along Nossob Street, Dalpark.

Sunday

A television set, DVD player, clothes and bedding were stolen from a home along Gardiner Avenue.
