Special operation nets four suspects

Following this incident, a special operation was conducted in the early hours of Friday morning, last week, by Det Col Israel Mdluli and three members of the Brakpan Detective Services.

When the four suspects (aged 29, 29, 31 and 34) were arrested, one of them was found in possession of an illegal firearm, which was confiscated and handed in to court as an exhibit.

The strong possibility that the firearm could have been used during the business robbery is being investigated.

The four suspects appeared in the Brakpan Magistrates Court on Monday, on charges of business robbery, and one man was also charged with being in possession of an unlicensed firearm.
