Weekend crime round-up

According to information received, the following crimes were reported to Brakpan Police over the weekend (May 15, 16 and 17):

Friday

A domestic worker, employed in Essex Street, opened the gate for would-be robbers pretending to be workers, at noon.

After they forced her to lie on the bedroom floor, the robbers stole two television sets, a DVD player, a computer and other electronic appliances.

A housebreaking occurred in Gerrit Maritz Avenue and in Floors Street.

Two television sets, a hi-fi, a Playstation, an external hard drive and a cellphone were stolen.

Saturday

A house was broken into in Hospital Street, where jewellery and a tablet computer were stolen.

Sunday

A storeroom, in a yard in Tinker Street, was broken into and a bicycle, lawnmower, wheelbarrow and other garden tools were stolen.
