Zuma to join wreath laying ceremony

President Jacob Zuma is expected to join Ekurhuleni mayor Clr Mondli Gungubele, the Tambo family and other dignitaries in paying homage to fallen political giants, Oliver and Adelaide Tambo tomorrow (Tuesday) at the Tamboville Cemetery in Wattville.

The laying of wreaths at the couple’s gravesite is the acme of the month long OR Tambo celebrations taking place in the Ekurhuleni Metro.

Meanwhile an opera theatre production relaying Tambo’s life story is scheduled for Thursday, October 29, at the Springs Theatre.

To conclude the Tambo month activities, well-known choristers from across the country will be singing their hearts out during the Ekurhuleni Melting Pot Choral Festival at Carnival City’s Big Top Arena on Saturday and Sunday.
