Two fires on same night

It is not known whether the incidents are linked.

Two separate cases of arson are being investigated after two fires were reported hours apart in Huntingdon, in Brakpan North, on Friday evening.

The first fire was reported at about 9.30pm at a lapa, at a residence along Huntingdon Avenue.

The second took place between 10pm and 11pm, also at a lapa, at a property along Saalklap Street.

Both incidents were attended by emergency services, who extinguished the blazes.

Information received from Brakpan police indicates that a suspicious-looking vehicle was seen at the scene of the second fire shortly before it started.

It is not known whether the incidents are linked.
