Murder witnesses sought by local police

Witnesses urged to come forward.

Brakpan police are appealing to residents to come forward if they have any information about the deadly shooting which claimed the life of a convicted murderer and alleged gang boss in Dalpark Extension Six, last week.

It was reported in last week’s edition, ‘Prison parolee gunned down‘ how the 48-year-old man, originally from Phoenix in KwaZulu-Natal, was shot and killed on Monday while sitting in a parked car along Silverbush Crescent.

The man had been released on day parole that morning from the Boksburg Prison, where he had been serving a lengthy jail sentence for murder.

Two occupants in a blue or green Renault Megane or Scenic arrived at the scene and opened fire on the car, fatally wounding the man.

One of the occupants was reportedly wearing a police uniform.
