Emerging DJs battle it out
The winner of the 2016 Carnival City Battle of the DJs received a one-year performance contract worth R300 000.
Carnival City staged the biggest DJ battle of the 2016 festive season at its new Sun Park and Beach Bar in December 2016, with R300 000 worth of prizes given away.
The 2016 Carnival City Battle of the DJs kicked off on December 9 and culminated on New Year’s Eve.
DJ Euphonik hosted the event and also performed at the various rounds.
The winner of the 2016 Carnival City Battle of the DJs was Lefa Madume (DJ Levis) from Vosloorus.
He received a one-year performance contract worth R300 000.
Madume will be the resident DJ at Bru’s and will play each Saturday night.
The runner-up, Stefaan Kubheka (DJ Decento), received R10 000 and a weekend away at Sun City.
