Crime reported to Brakpan police within the past 24 hours (February 8 to February 9):

* Tyres were stolen from a vehicle parked along Lower Road, in Minnebron, on Tuesday.

* A trailer and a small fishing boat were stolen from a home along Colliery Road, in Sunair Park.

The theft was discovered at about 5am on Tuesday morning.

The past few weeks have seen an increase in the theft of trailers.

Residents are encouraged to ensure their trailers are properly secured (make use of locks and chains if you have to) and, if possible, kept out of sight or covered.

* A home in Ruth Road, Sunair Park, was burgled yesterday (Wednesday).

Speakers, an amplifier, two television sets and a tablet were stolen.

*A man was robbed of his cellphone and cash at the corner of Voortrekker Road and Park Street, yesterday.

Three young men and two women confronted the victim at around midday and searched his pockets.

The robbers fled in a blue Audi.

* Bogus cops hijacked the driver of a truck along the R23.
